I was born in Germany but raised in Australia. I developed an interest in science from an early age, later starting training in laboratory techniques at Sydney TAFE Ultimo before moving to Hamburg where I completed my training as a Laboratory Technician at the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf.

Currently, my focus is on understanding host-microbe crosstalk using in vitro, in vivo and organoid models.
