Four members of the Hall Lab, one science communication consultant and a psychologist, were invited to the join the year 5 class at Cringleford Primary School for a fun morning of science.
New publication in Frontiers in Microbiology
I am happy to announce that my first-authored original research article was published at the end of 2017 in Frontiers in Microbiology entitled: Probing genomic aspects of the multi-host pathogen Clostridium perfringens reveals significant pangenome diversity, and a diverse array of virulence factors.
New publication in BMC Genomics
In this publication, we have optimised a protocol for profiling the microbes present in faecal samples from preterm infants using DNA sequencing via an approach called 16S rRNA gene meta-taxonomic profiling.
New publication in Genome Biology and Evolution
We have recently published a journal article in Genome Biology and Evolution that describes 5 novel Clostridium bacterial strains that we isolated as part of a wider Hall Lab study, examining the microbiota of preterm infants (BAMBI).
